hello everybody!!! :) hear the new song on my blog?!?! hahahaha.. it's ben's newest mini-studio arrangement :P the song was previously sung by matt redman, but he did his own rendition of it.. NICE eh! hahaha.. it's officially my new autoplay song! :) anw, below are ben's exhibited pictures for montage 2007.. he didn't win any prizes, but i think it's quite a good ego boosted for them to be exhibited, since it's his first nation-wide competition.. :)

hello world! haha.. i'm finally updating my blog! :) after much procrastination, i've finally gotten hold of the pics.. i spent the last 3 hours organising the pics and blogging, so you guys gotta forgive me for the delay! hahaha.. we left sg on 18th may(fri), 8.30pm.. travelled by bus to mersing, spent the night there, and woke up early the next day to head for tioman island! so technically, the first day of the trip was actually saturday when we set foot on tioman.. :) the trip was amazing.. i learnt alot about myself, pushed myself to the limits (both physically and mentally), and most of all, i got to see the vast abundance of marine life.. despite the rash i got, the body aches that "paralysed" me after the trip, the heavy air tank that i had to carry around, the fear in me when i was in the open water and was finning like crazy so i won't get drifted away by the current etc etc, this was definitely the most memorable trip i've been on so far.. it was an adventure, and i was happy that ben and i could share those experiences together coz we were buddies under water.. :) yes, i'm definitely gonna dive again.. i wanna be a dive junkie! heh.. picture time!!!

19/5, 12.36pm.. we finally reached mersing.. checked in to this hotel, called timotel.. ahha.. :P
was quite tired when we reached, but i still had to study my manual coz i had a test the next day, and i had to get 40/50 in order to pass! but guess wat, michelle had the exam paper from the boyfriend! haha.. so of course we did the exam paper.. :)

this is my instructor, andrew.. he's really good at diving.. he takes alot of pictures underwater using a SLR, and he comes from a family of divers.. cool huh!

welcome to tioman!
dragging our terribly heavy mesh bags to the shop.. there were 2 sets of dive gears in each bag, and even though there were wheels and we could pull them, it was still very VERY heavy!
vast difference in the standard between the rooms in mersing(top) and tioman(bottom).. we stayed in a hotel at mersing, so everything was hotel-ish and comfy and nice.. but when we were at tioman, it was like a chalet room, just worse.. haha.. my bed sinks, like the army kind, and the toilet was run down and have insects running/flying ard and water was super cold.. hahaha.. ok i'm complaining.. but it was nothing.. coz the diving experience made up for everything! :)
YIPPIES! we were so excited when we reached the dive shop we just had to jump! :P but the boyfriend just stood there and posed.. haha.. poor thing! he's the only guy, and he had to be our photographer.. the other guy in the picture is my instructor..

dinner after our first day of diving.. food was GOOD! and cheap.. :P
we took the explorer(the ship) out on the 2nd day to the open waters, and these were the 2 dive sites where we did our free descend dives.. they were the BEST dives.. coz on the first day, we had 3 dives but they were at shallow waters, snorkling and revising what we've learnt during our practical sessions in the swimming pool.. there were schools of fishes swimming all around us, but nothing beats the free descend dives where you see coral reefs that never end and uncountable number of fishes swimming all around.. it was REALLY beautiful.. i loved it! :) saw many many urchins, fishes i can't name, different kinds of starfish, clownfish(nemo) and anemone, blue spotted stingray, trigger fish (which is dangerous) etc etc..
us in our wetsuits on the explorer.. :) and i think mine gave me a rash ard my tummy area, but i brought my allergy meds from my last back rash! haha.. smart me.. :P i'm not sure if it was the wetsuit or the bed that i slept on the night before though.. :S
